Micro Hematocrit Tubes

VITREX micro-haematocrit tubes are quality products that conform to international standard ISO 12772. The tubes are supplied fire polished at the colour-coded end, which we recommend should be sealed with VITREX Sigillum Wax. Fire polishing reduces wear on the centrifuge seals. Supplied with colour-coding on the packaging and on the tubes in plain (blue colour), or with uniform sodium heparinisa- tion (red colour), ammonia heparinisation (green colour) or lithium heparinisation (orange colour). Each heparinised tube contains at least 4 IU heparin as prescribed by the Standard.

Blood Gas Capillary Tubes

Vitrex disposable capillary tubes for blood gas analyses are made from heavy walled glass, suitable for 2.3 mm adaptors.

Wax plate

Wax plate intended use is to seal the tubes after the blood collection before the tubes go into a centrifuge. The wax plate has 2×24 numbered positions per pair, which makes it easy to have several tubes sealed and transported at the same time. Each pair can be forced apart and used separately.

Stirrers – End Caps

Stirrers and End caps are intended to be used with Vitrex Blood Gas Tubes. The purpose is to mix the heparin with the blood.

Stirrers packed in vials of 250 pcs.

End Caps packed in boxes of 500 pcs.
